Two thoughts created Great Southern Homes of Alabama. Our three children are now grown adults. Several years ago, my wife and I told them that we were thinking about moving out into the country. Their response was, “You can’t sell our home!”. That stuck with me, and I began to think about the importance of everyone needing a place that they can call “home”. The Bible says, “One generation shall commend Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts” (Psalms 145:4). Those two thoughts played over and over again in my mind and made me want to create a business that cannot only be generational for our family (and others too) but also provide the “home” that everyone needs. A place where life, in its fullest, is lived and where treasured memories are made. In my mind, when I think about a Great Southern Home, that’s what I see, and it makes me smile. So, our objective is very simple. We want to help you in the process of selling or buying a place that you call home and do it in a way that honors God. My hope is that one day our children’s children will be doing the same. Whether you live there only a couple of years or you never move again, those treasured memories are created and stored away so that when you think about your experience with our family and your Great Southern Home, it will make you smile too.
Because of the resulting relationship to farms and land, he soon began to help clients buy, manage, and sell their rural properties. After successfully running Auburn Aquatics and producing seven of the ten largest bass ever caught in Alabama, he sold the business and began to focus on the real estate market full time.
Robert receiving a real estate license in the mid 1990’s and has since specialized in finding, developing, and managing both rural and suburban property. His wide range of expertise in business, land development, and management gives him a great set of tools to help you find or create your own Great Southern Home.
After earning a real estate license, Robbi has joined the “family business” with Robert. Her wide range of expertise in the private sector (including time as a chief operations officer), marketing, public relations, and advisor to professional students at Auburn University gives her an excellent skillset to help walk you through the process of buying and/or selling your home.
